MEK inhibitor

A substance that blocks proteins called MEK1 and MEK2, which help control cell growth and survival. Blocking these proteins may help keep cancer cells from growing and may kill them. Some MEK inhibitors are used to treat cancer. They are a type of targeted therapy1.
